Specialty Steel Service, Inc. is a Carbon Steel Service Center that specializes in precision blanks, slitting, shearing, cut to length and coil.
Our Capabilities:
BLANKING / LEVELING: Our 72 inch blanking line is capable of leveling a #40,000 coil between .014 and .105. Blanking has been the cornerstone of our business for over 30 years. We can hold very close tolerances and because of that - we have kept most of the same customers for decades!
SLITTING: Our 52 inch slitting line is capable of handling #40,000 coil between .014 and .187. Our looping pit will allow us to do a better job of processing lighter gauge material. We can slit .012 to .115 material all the way down to .625 in width. We also have a 22 inch slitter capable of running .010 - .090 down to nearly half inch. We have also installed a packaging line to increase production time and quality.
SHEARING: We also operate three 12 foot, 10 gauge shears for processing heavier material.
ADDITIONAL SERVICES:
We can produce specialized skids and plastic wrap blanks as needed. Don't need a full truck load? This is typically not a problem!
